- Excellent swimming and sunbathing is available on the Del Mar shoreline.
- There is ample grass space for children or adults to play or have group activities.
- A Horseshoe pitch is available on the grounds.
- A games room has been added with pool table, and board games for rainy day activities. We have a substantial video/DVD collection located in our house. Videos/DVD's are available for guests to borrow. These items are to be returned when departing Del Mar Cottages.
- Hike or bike the Hastings Highland Trail which passes in front of the Del Mar property. For more informations about the trail visit the Eastern Ontario Trails Alliance website
- Hike either of the two scenic trails at the Provincial Park just across the lake. Lookout Trail is 2.4 km. Shanty trail is 4.3 km and branches off the Lookout Trail. More detail at Ontario Parks Lake St. Peter hiking trails.
- For a more strenous hike or bike ride, Algonquin Park is 20 minutes away.
